The Mary Baldwin University women's tennis team fell to North Carolina Wesleyan, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon.

The team  of Lauren Hodgkins and Liz Wine dropped an 8-0 decision at No. 1 doubles. Samantha Childs and Helen Gutierrez teamed up at No. 2 doubles and fell 8-1.

In singles play, Gutierrez picked up a win for MBU at No. 4. Hodgkins (No. 1) Wine (No. 2) and Childs (No. 3) each lost their matchups.

The Fighting Squirrels next match is on Monday as they host Averett.
