Box Score The Mary Baldwin men's soccer team lost to North Carolina Wesleyan College 1-0 on Saturday.
MBU (0-4, 0-4) was unable to find many opportunities in the first half, as N.C. Wesleyan's (4-1-1, 4-1) backline stood strong.
The Battling Bishops scored the lone goal of the game in the 26th minute. Lorenzo Cocchia fired a shot that was saved by Obdulio Argueta before Cocchia's rebound shot found the back of the net.
MBU saw more opportunities in the second half.
The Fighting Squirrels had a free kick opportunity in the 57th minute, from about 25 yards out, although, Dominic Fleming's shot would not be much trouble for N.C. Wesleyan goalkeeper Matteo Torchio.
In the 87th minute, a cross by Carson Brooks sailed high, leaving MBU unable to equalize.
MBU will play again on March 24 as they host Pfeiffer.
