Mary Baldwin and Hampden-Sydney battled to a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon in non-conference action on SMA Worth Field. 

The contest was scoreless unto the 70th minute when the Tigers scored on a corner kick. John Alexander sent the corner to the middle of the box where Jacob Siler headed a shot past MBU keeper Obdulio Argueta for a 1-0 Tigers lead.

The Fighting Squirrels returned the favor in with less than 10 minutes left in regulation. Dominic Fleming took the corner for MBU and sent a ball toward the far post. Edward Headley headed the ball past Tigers' keeper Ian Fitgerald to tie the score.

Mary Baldwin held a 12-9 edge in shots with one half of the attempts coming in the two overtime periods. Hamdpen-Sydney had the advantage in corner kicks by a 7-3 margin.

MBU, now 1-2-1 on the season, is back in action Tuesday at Randolph-Macon.
