Box Score The Mary Baldwin men's soccer team snapped out of a recent scoring drought with three goals in the first half Tuesday to defeat Shenandoah, 3-0, in non-conference action.
Alex Barba put the Fighting Squirrels on the scoreboard with an early goal and Ousmane Dansoko scored off a pass from Badr Kessouh to put the home team ahead 2-0. Jyle Creamer closed out the half with a late goal for a 3-0 MBU lead.
The MBU defesne kept the Shenandoah offense under wraps for most of the game. Goalkeeper Justin Almond faced just three shots on goal during the game and made the save on each to record the save. Mayr Baldwin held an 11-9 edge in total shots while Shenandoah had a 7-2 advanage in cormer kicks.
Mary Baldwin, now 2-4-1 overall, returns to action Thursday evening when the team travels to Eastern Mennonite.
