HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Mary Baldwin men's soccer team defeated Eastern Mennonite 1-0 Thursday evening for the team's second straight victory. The win was also the second consecutive shutout for the Fighting Squirrels following a 3-0 victory earlier this week over Shenandoah.

Mary Baldwin's Alexis Barba scored the game's lone goal midway through the opening half. Senior goalkeeper Obdulio Argueta and the MBU defense made sure the one goal was enough for the victory. Argueta finished the contest with four saves.

Total shots in the contest were even at 11 apiece while EMU held a slim edge in corner kick opportunities, 4-2.

MBU improves to 3-4-1 on the season. The Squirrels are back in action next Wednesday when the team travels to Lynchburg, Va., to play Randolph College.
