Hanna Roach each recorded seven points to lead Mary Baldwin in its USA South Athletic Conference volleyball matches Saturday during Fall Break Weekend at the PAC.
Roach had seven points on seven kills, a .250 hitting percentage and four digs in a 3-0 setback to Brevard in the opener of the conference tri-match. The Tornados, led by Makenna Parkins with nine kills, two solo blocks and three digs, won in straight games, 25-22, 25-20 and 25-14 to improve to 8-9 overall, 5-5 in USA South.
In the last match of the day, Andrews totaled six kills, a .500 hitting percentage, a solo block and a dig in a 3-0 loss to Methodist as the Fighting Squirrels fall to 2-19 overall, 0-11 in the USA South 25-13, 25-11 and 25-17. Jamie Holton exploded for 18 kills and a .586 hitting percentage for Methodist (13-6, 8-4 USA South).
MBU returns to action Tuesday with a USA South clash at Southern Virginia (6 p.m.).
