Emily Penny registered six assists, five digs, three service aces and one kill for a strong all-around game in the Fighting Squirrels 3-0 USA South Athletic Conference volleyball setback at Meredith Wednesday. MBU falls to 2-15 overall, 0-8 in conference play.
Meredith (12-5, 6-2 USA South), led by a perfect eight kills in eight attempts along with three block assists by Kinley Copeland, topped the visitors by sets of 25-10, 25-8 and 25-14.
Also contributing for the Fighting Squirrels was junior Sol Rios-Rolon and senior
Savannah Figueroa, each with six digs.
MBU returns to action Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the PAC against Salem College in a featured event on The Fighting Squirrels' Family Weekend.
