Jaisley Tibayan all made solid contributions Wednesday in Mary Baldwin's final home volleyball match of the season. The Fighting Squirrels lost to first-place Meredith, 3-0, but challenged the Avenging Angels in the second (25-22) and third (25-21) sets in front of the PAC crowd.
Roach led the hosts with eight kills and a .316 hitting percentage, followed closely by Andrews with five kills and a .273 hitting percentage. Sheets registered a team-best 10 assists and shared team-high honors in digs with Tibayan, each with 10. Rios-Rolon helped with the sets, recording nine assists.
Lauren Bissette topped the Avenging Angels with 12 kills, a .474 hitting percentage and three of the team's five solo blocks.
MBU closes out its 2023 campaign Saturday with a tri-match at Salem (N.C.) College, starting with a conference clash against the host Spirits (2 p.m.) and a non-conference match against Roanoke (4 p.m.).
