Mary Baldwin senior forward Vernon Fraley, in his first start of the season, posted a double-double with 15 points and and a team-high 10 rebounds, but Wilson's offense was more efficient in the second half and the Phoenix posted a 79-72 non-conference men's basketball victory over the host Fighting Squirrels Tuesday.

Sophomore guard Mekhi Reid topped the hosts with 18 points while classmate Zach Sloan equaled Fraley in the scoring column with 15 scores.  MBU finished the game shooting 5-for-23 from three-point range (21.7%)  and 13-for-22 from the free throw line (59.1%).

On the other end, Ethan Wilson poured in a game-high 26 points, including a 4-for-8 performance from three-point range and he was 8-for-8 from the foul line.  The visitors (2-2) finished 14-for-30 from long range (46.7%) and 13-for-16 at the foul line (81.3%).

Mary Baldwin (2-3) now has 11 days off before hosting defending NCAA Division III champion Christopher Newport at the MBU PAC on Saturday, Dec. 2, starting at 3 p.m.
