Ferrum College erupted for three goals in the first 21 minutes of the match, including the first of three scores by Payton Rausch, on the way to a 5-0 non-conference men's soccer victory over visiting Mary Baldwin Wednesday.

It's the third-straight match the Fighting Squirrels (0-5) have trailed by a 4-0 margin at halftime and ended the contest down 5-0.

The Fighting Squirrels managed six shots in the match, including one on goal.  Keepers Tucker Speak and Preston Bentley each played 45 minutes in the MBU goal and each recorded one save each.

MBU returns to the pitch Saturday at SMA Worth Field at 4 p.m. against local rival Eastern Mennonite University.
