Freshman defender Connor Dobbin scored an unassisted goal midway through the second half for Mary Baldwin Saturday, but the Fighting Squirrels dropped a 3-1 non-conference decision to Eastern Mennonite at SMA Worth Field.

Ford DeVault scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 17th minute and added an insurance goal early in the second half for EMU (3-2-1).  Dobbin found the back of the net for the first time this season for the Fighting Squirrels in the 64th minute, but the hosts could get no closer despite pressing with some strong opportunities down the stretch.  All eight of MBU's shots were in the final 45 minutes of the match.

MBU returns to action Tuesday (9/19) at SMA Worth Field against St. Mary's (Md.), beginning at 4 p.m.
