Yefferson Hernandez and
David Romano both scored second-half goals for Mary Baldwin, but the Fighting Squirrels were unable to erase an early deficit in a 4-2 non-conference loss at Wilson College Saturday in Chambersburg, Pa.
After going scoreless in the first five matches of the season, MBU (0-8) has scored five goals in the last three games. Saturday, Wilson's Brian Mulholland posted a hat trick for the host Phoenix (2-6).
Mulholland scored the only goal of the first half, then made it 2-0 in the 47th minute. Hernandez scored his first goal of the season for MBU a minute later, but Wilson added two goals later in the half for a 4-1 lead. Romano then finished the scoring with a penalty kick in the 88th minute - his first goal of the season.

William Batt was credited with seven saves on 15 total shots by Wilson.
The Fighting Squirrels return to the SMA Worth Field pitch Tuesday with a non-conference match against NCAA Division I local rival VMI (4:30 p.m.).
