Mary Baldwin University's early lead in the first half ends up being the deciding factor in tonight's game as they put up a strong 42 points to go against Pfeiffer University's 36 points. Although the Falcons did end up scoring 2 more points than the Fighting Squirrels with a 45-43 split between the teams, it was not enough to cover the difference and MBU takes this victory home.

The Falcons didn't make it easy though as they knocked the difference down to only 2 points in the next 8 minutes of the game. Mary Baldwin had a sizable lead throughout the second half as they once were up by 16 points. Pfeiffer battled their way to end the game but ultimately fell just short of the 4 point difference resulting in another Fighting Squirrels victory
