The Brevard College Tornados held the lead as they played the Mary Baldwin University Fighting Squirrels with a 71-47 game.
Both defenses started strong with both defenses allowing a total of 10 points within the majority of the first period, but the Tornados soon found their groove and finished the first half of today's match-up with 33 points to match the Fighting Squirrels' 20. Brevard continued their lead for the entirety of the second half as they put up 19 in both the third and fourth quarter. Mary Baldwin did their best to compete with scoring 14 in the third and 13 in the fourth, but fell short as Brevard took the win today.

The Brevard Tornados managed to run a committee today as they had six players in their lineup score 6 or more points. Their top scorer was #11, Jada Petty-Wilkins with 13 points, followed closely by #2, Makayla Street with 10 points. Other key contributers were #10, Olivia Miller who scored 6 points with 9 rebounds and #4, Chyna Pouncy, who grabbed 7 rebounds.
