Sabrina Birts recorded seven of Mary Baldwin's 23 kills, three of the team's five solo blocks and was second on the team with nine digs in Saturday's 3-0 USA South Volleyball loss vs. Pfeiffer (4-14, 1-8 USA South) at the MBU PAC.
The Falcons won the first two games by scores of 25-17 and 25-14, but then rallied from a 10-point deficit in the third set to gain a 25-23 victory.
Other MBU leaders included senior Sol Rios-Rolon with 12 of MBU's 21 assists as well as eight digs and freshman
Alexa Ammerman with a team-high 12 digs and four assists.
The Fighting Squirrels (2-14, 0-9 USA South) return to the PAC Saturday, Oct. 19 as part of Alumni Weekend when they'll host a USA South tri-match against Greensboro (11 a.m.) and William Peace (3 p.m.). GC will play WPU in the second match of the day at approximately 1 p.m.
