Meredith's Rebecca Morrison assisted on the first goal then added an unassisted insurance tally, both in the second half, as the Avenging Angels (6-3-3, 2-1-1 USA South) defeated Mary Baldwin in USA South women's soccer action Saturday, 2-0.

The Fighting Squirrels (3-5-2, 2-2-0 USA South) played defense most of the game as the hosts held a 24-1 shooting advantage (12-0 on goal).  Defensively, MBU keeper Maddy Vinson was credited with 10 saves.

MBU returns to action Tuesday (10/8) with a USA South match at Staunton's SMA Worth Field against Greensboro, beginning at 4 p.m.
