Eleven MBU players hit the scoring column, led by graduate student

Rony Hogarth each with nine, in the Fighting Squirrels 100-52 men's basketball exhibition game loss at NCAA Division I James Madison Tuesday.
The Fighting Squirrels, who spread the playing time throughout the entire team, gave the host Dukes a challenge for most of the first half. At the first media time out, MBU led 13-7. Late in the first half, after the hosts scored 25 straight points, MBU battled back several times to close the gap to 10 points before finishing the first 20 minutes down 50-28.
JMU 6-11 center Elijah Hutchins-Everett dominated the inside game, finishing with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Xavier Brown added 17 markers for the winners.

Raymond Benton added six points and a team-high four rebounds for MBU while
Zach Sloan also chipped in six points. Â
The Fighting Squirrels (1-1) return to their regular-season schedule Wednesday (11/13) with a non-conference clash at Washington & Lee, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
