A day after splitting a doubleheader against USA South rival Greensboro, the Mary Baldwin baseball team finished its three-game weekend series with an 18-4 loss to the Pride. Â
GC scored double-digit runs in every inning except the first, pulling out to a 14-0 lead before MBU plated four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.Â
Tyler Morley finished his strong weekend at the plate with a two-run double and a run scored while
Josh Lallo added two of MBU's six hits and scored a run.
The Fighting Squirrels, 4-9 overall and tied for fifth place in the USA South with a 1-2 record, plays two non-conference road games this week at Ferrum (3/19, 3 p.m.) and Hampden-Sydney (3/21, 3:30 p.m.) before traveling to William Peace for the next three-game USA South weekend series Saturday (3/23, 3 p.m.) and Sunday (3/24, noon).
