Junior Kelsey Bantel challenged Southern Virginia Nadia Molonphy in the No. 2 singles match before falling 6-2, 6-2, during Wednesday's 9-0 USA South Athletic Conference women's tennis loss to the Knights, 9-0.

Hannah Eastridge won two games in the first set and Gabrielle Wyatt won one in their respective singles matches for MBU.

The Fighting Squirrels have Easter Weekend off and return to action Saturday, April 6 with a conference match at Brevard (11 a.m.).  The following day (4/7), the Fighting Squirrels will challenge Ferrum in a non-conference battle, starting at noon.
