Box Score Mary Baldwin sophomore Delaney Bolbach led a balanced attack with seven kills, a .462 hitting percentage and added seven service aces and three block assists in the Fighting Squirrels' 3-1 season-opening volleyball loss at Ferrum Friday.

The hosts picked up the decision with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 22-25 and 25-17.  Jaycee Chaffin (14 kills) and Kenzie Chaffin (12 kills) led the Panthers' attack.

In her first match for MBU, Kennedy Mills chipped in six kills and a .286 hitting percentage.  Other MBU leaders included Sol Rios Rolon with 11 assists and Bella Perez-Smeed with eight assists and 10 digs.

The Fighting Squirrels return to action Tuesday with a non-conference match at St. Mary's (Md.), beginning at 6 p.m.
