Sabrina Birts and senior Sol Rios-Rolon led the attack for Mary Baldwin (1-5) in Thursday's 3-1 non-conference loss at Hollins. The hosts (2-8) won by scores of 23-25, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-20.
Bolbach paced the Fighting Squirrels with eight kills and no errors, posting a .533 hitting percentage for the match. Birts had seven kills and contributed 11 digs while freshman
Kennedy Mills added six for the visitors. Rios-Rolon dished out 20 assists in the four sets and helped defensively with seven digs.
Leading the defense was freshman
Alexa Ammerman with 24 digs and shared team-high honors with two service aces.
MBU has the weekend off and will return to action Thursday (9/19) at home against Trinity University of D.C., starting at 6 p.m.
