Mary Baldwin Battles in 4–1 Loss to Brevard

Mary Baldwin fought hard in a 4–1 loss against Brevard College on Saturday.

Brevard's Mikayla Zvekan opened the scoring in the 25th minute, giving the Tornadoes a 1–0 advantage that held through halftime thanks to strong defensive play from the Fighting Squirrels.
The Tornadoes added to their lead in the second half, with Olivia Guillermo finding the net in the 51st minute. Zvekan then completed her hat trick with goals in the 79th and 83rd minutes to push the score to 4–0.

Mary Baldwin continued to battle, and freshman Molly Ludwig put the Squirrels on the board in the 85th minute — her 11th goal of the season.

The Fighting Squirrels return to action on October 18, hosting Methodist University at noon on SMA Field.
