Hollins Sweeps Mary Baldwin in Competitive Volleyball Match

The Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels fell in straight sets to Hollins University, 3–0 (25–22, 25–16, 25–15), in a competitive volleyball matchup.

Despite the loss, the Fighting Squirrels showed strength at the net, outpacing Hollins 4–0 in blocks. Sophomore Gabrielle Culading led the defensive effort with a team-high 11 digs, while freshman Hayley Deshazo added eight. Freshman setter Kathryn Nguyen distributed the offense effectively, recording 14 assists.

For Hollins, Cassidy Henderson led the attack with nine kills.

Mary Baldwin will return to action Saturday in a tri-match, facing Salem at 12:00 p.m. and Meredith at 2:00 p.m.
