The Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels dropped both matches in a volleyball doubleheader against the William Peace Pacers on Wednesday night.
In the first match, William Peace earned a 3-0 victory (25-10, 25-16, 25-11).
Junior Delaney Bolbach led the Fighting Squirrels' offense with six kills, while junior
Brooklyn Prince added five. Freshman setter
Kathryn Nguyen distributed the ball effectively, recording a team-high 16 assists. For the Pacers, Aubrey Chesson led the attack with nine kills.
In the nightcap, the Pacers again came out on top, taking the second match 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-18). Mary Baldwin found some momentum from the service line, tallying eight aces in the match. Bolbach added three more kills to her total for the evening, while
Alexa Ammerman anchored the defense with a match-high 17 digs.
Mary Baldwin will return home to host Greensboro College on Friday, October 24 at 6:00 p.m.
