The Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels are set to host Methodist University in the first round of the USA South Atlantic Women's Soccer Playoffs on Friday, Nov. 1, at SMA Field. The game will start at 12:30 pm.
The Fighting Squirrels capped an impressive regular season at 10-5-1, their best mark since 2022. The team's surge included a nine-game unbeaten streak, the longest in program history in more than 25 years.
Mary Baldwin will look to avenge last year's narrow 1–0 first-round loss to Methodist, which came on the Pride's home turf. This time, the Squirrels have home-field advantage and one of the conference's most dynamic attacks.
Freshman
Molly Ludwig led the charge with 11 goals, ranking among the league's top five scorers. Senior
Mackenzie Shores added seven to finish eighth, while freshman
Kendall Carr rounded out the top 10.
