The Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels remain unbeaten in conference action with a dominant 6–0 victory over Meredith University.
The offense came alive early, with sophomore
Kendall Carr striking first in the sixth minute and again in the 15th to set the tone. Freshman
Joelle Hare extended the lead before halftime, netting goals in the 30th and 36th minutes to give the Squirrels a commanding 4–0 advantage at the break.
Senior
Mackenzie Shores opened second-half scoring with a goal in the 66th minute, and sophomore
Wynn Codero sealed the win with her first goal of the season in the 74th minute.
With the win, Mary Baldwin improves to 9–1 on the season and will look to notch their 10th victory on the road against Greensboro College on Tuesday, October 7, at 5:00 p.m.
