Sophomore Nicky Black ran her season-best 6K at the NCAA Division III South Regional on Saturday, finishing in 23:39.00. Her performance placed her in the top 50 of more than 200 runners.

In the men's 8K, junior Caleb Smith led Mary Baldwin with a school-record time of 29:18.50 in his first career cross country race. Junior Daniel Diaczyszyn ran a season-best 31:05.90, followed by junior Micah Ahern-Wood in 31:55.00. Freshman Tajee Groomes (35:36.00) and senior Brandon Jones (37:55.30) rounded out the race for the Fighting Squirrels.
