Caroline Motley had Mary Baldwin's lone top 10 finish, but several Fighting Squirrels had personal best performances at the 2025 Washington & Lee Track & Field Carnival this weekend.
Motley crossed the finish line in the unseeded 1,500-meter run in sixth place with a school-record time of 5:12.89.
Other personal bests for the Fighting Squirrels were set by Alma Gonzalez Hayes in the women's shot put (21.72m),
Lapatrick Bridges in the men's 800-meter run (2:10.03) and
Nicole Black in the women's invitational 5,000-meter run (school record 18:36.86).
MBU returns to its outdoor spring schedule March 28-29 at the annual Doc Jopson Invitational hosted by Bridgewater College.
