Mary Baldwin managed just two runs on 11 hits in two USA South Athletic Conference games at Greensboro College Wednesday, leading to an 8-0 loss in five innings in the first game and a 3-2 defeat in the second game.

Greensboro scored four runs in the second inning of the first game, highlighted by a pair of triples, then continued to score over the next three innings to gain the shutout win.  MBU managed just three hits and one walk in the game.

In Game 2, the Pride jumped out to another early lead, scoring once in the first inning and twice in the second for a 3-0 lead.  MBU rallied with a run in the fifth inning on a McKenzie Tillman RBI double in the fifth, followed in the seventh inning by another run when Hadley May scored on a wild pitch.

Tillman and May both had three hits in the twinbill, but the Fighting Squirrels stranded 14 baserunners in 12 innings to fall to 14-10 overall, 0-4 in the USA South.

MBU returns to USA South Conference play Saturday (3/29) with a doubleheader at William Peace (15-7, 2-0 USA South).  The game was scheduled for Sunday, but changed to 11 a.m. Saturday by request of the WPU athletic administration.
