For the second-straight semester, more than 65 percent of Mary Baldwin University student-athletes posted a 3.00 or better grade point average and finished with one of the best academic and athletic semesters in this century.
Academically, MBU graduated a record 56 current and former student-athletes on May 17-18, including 51 undergraduates, and had 137 out of 207 student-athletes (66.2%) finish the Spring 2025 semester with better than a 3.00 cumulative grade point average. Of those, 17 boast a perfect 4.00 GPA and 33 others have a 3.80 or better GPA.
Eleven of the 14 varsity teams in 2024-25 finished with a 3.00 team cumulative GPA or better, led by Softball (3.572) and Men's Basketball (3.312).

Athletically, three spring teams recorded their highest win totals in team history, including:
Softball - 22 overall victories
Men's tennis - 3 overall victories
Baseball - 5 conference victories
Individually, MBU had two all-region honorees this year that were also first-team All-USA South award winners in
Nicole Black (cross country) and
Hadley May (softball). Additionally, four MBU teams advanced to USA South conference playoffs this year, including men's soccer, women's soccer, men's basketball and softball. It was the third-consecutive year for post-season play in men's basketball and softball.
