Mary Baldwin women's volleyball earned a 3–1 victory over Christendom (25-15, 14-25, 25-12, 25-17) Tuesday evening in the PAC. The match was part of the team's Faculty Appreciation Night celebration and AVCA Volleyball Appreciation Week (Sept. 26–Oct. 4), honoring the support of faculty and the sport nationwide.
After trading the first two sets, the Fighting Squirrels seized momentum and never looked back, dominating the third and closing strong in the fourth.
Delaney Bolbach, Brooklynn Prince, and Kennedy Mills each tallied 8 kills to lead a balanced offense.
Kathryn Nguyen directed the attack with 22 assists, while
Alexa Ammerman collected 15 digs on defense. At the service line,
Christal Newman delivered 4 aces as MBU totaled 11 on the night.
Mary Baldwin outpaced Christendom in nearly every category, finishing with 38 kills, 29 assists, 50 digs, and 4 blocks. The Fighting Squirrels will play S. Virginia University at home Wednesday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m.
