The Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels earned their second win of the season with a sweep over Christendom, posting set scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-10 to open play at the Regent Tournament.
 
Junior Sabrina Brits contributed three kills and an assist in the first-set victory. In the second set, Mary Baldwin trailed 19-15 before mounting a comeback, scoring 10 straight points to claim the set, 25-19.
 
The Fighting Squirrels dominated the third set, opening with nine unanswered points en route to a decisive 25-10 win.
 
Mary Baldwin found success at the service line, recording 12 aces in the match. Freshman Kathryn Nguyen led the way with three aces, while Brits paced the offense with a team-high five kills.
 
The Fighting Squirrels return to action Saturday with a doubleheader, taking on Regent at 1 p.m., followed by a match against Warren Wilson at 3 p.m.
