Mary Baldwin women's soccer dominated Saturday afternoon, defeating conference opponent Salem College 7-0.
The Fighting Squirrels got on the board early when sophomore
Molly Ludwig broke through in the sixth minute. Battling through a congested penalty area, Ludwig scored her 11th goal of the season, tying her freshman-season total.
Mary Baldwin added two more goals before halftime as sophomore
Joelle Hare found the back of the net in the 15th and 27th minutes.
In the first half, the Fighting Squirrels carved through Salem's back line, attempting 15 shots.
Mary Baldwin kept the pressure on in the second half, with junior
Kendall Carr scoring three minutes after the break to give the Fighting Squirrels a 4-0 lead.
Hare added her third goal of the game, completing the hat trick and bringing her season total to seven goals.

Addison Hannigan scored the final two goals in the 72nd and 85th minutes.
Mary Baldwin will hit the road Tuesday, Oct. 6, to face North Carolina Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
