Mary Baldwin men's basketball player DJ Via and men's baseball player Patrick Sido earned USA South weekly honors for the week of Feb. 16, 2026.

Via averaged 20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.5 steals per game as the Fighting Squirrels went 2-0 against USA South opponents.

In a 70-69 win at Greensboro, Via hit a buzzer-beating jumper to secure the victory. He finished with 16 points, four steals, three rebounds and three assists. In a 70-67 win at Methodist, Via scored 24 points and added five rebounds, three assists and one steal.

The honor marks Via's second conference weekly award this season.

In baseball, Sido went a combined 5-for-8 (.625) with a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.125 slugging percentage in a season-opening doubleheader split against Marymount. He recorded two runs scored, five RBIs, one double and one home run.

Sido is the first Mary Baldwin men's baseball player to receive a USA South weekly award since the program's inception in 2021.
