Mary Baldwin freshman
Patrick Sido has been named USA South Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
The freshman outfielder from Springfield, Virginia, went a combined 7-for-15 (.467) with a .529 on-base percentage and a .933 slugging percentage. He also recorded four runs scored, five RBIs, four doubles, one home run and two walks last week.
In a loss to Washington and Lee, Sido went 3-for-5 with one run scored, one RBI and two doubles. In a loss to Roanoke, he finished 1-for-4 with a double. In two games against Hood, Sido went a combined 3-for-6 with three runs scored, four RBIs, one double, one home run and two walks.
"Patrick has been outstanding for us this year. Not only has he continued to grow every day offensively, I don't think everyone knows how good of an outfielder he is," said head baseball coach Scott Hearn. "Not only has he been a staple in our offense but also reliable and consistent in right field. I couldn't be more proud of Patrick and his accomplishments this spring."
