Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels baseball finish the weekend series against Mount Aloysius 1-2, following a 15-11 loss Sunday afternoon.

The Fighting Squirrels bats got going early as a single by senior Will Earnesty would drive in a run in the first inning, followed up by a four-run second inning punctuated by a double hit by freshman Patrick Sido, driving in two runs to take a 5-0 lead.

The Mounties found some momentum in the top of the third, scoring four runs and would hold that momentum into the seventh inning bringing in six runners to take a 14-8 lead.

Mary Baldwin pitchers had a rough seventh inning hitting or walking five MAC batters leading to three runs scored.  

The Fighting Squirrels refused to go down easy as they rattled off three runs in the 8^th inning to come within four.

The Mounties Dawson Wetherald would finish the game on the mound not allowing a hit in the ninth.

Mary Baldwin will head to Lexington, Virginia to face Washington and Lee Tuesday, March 3 at 4:00 p.m.
