The Mary Baldwin baseball team traveled to Bridgewater College on Tuesday afternoon, falling to the Eagles 18-1 in seven innings.
The Fighting Squirrels scored first when senior Trevor Hebner singled to right field, driving in Camden Bauswell from third.
The lead was short-lived as the Eagles tied the game in the bottom of the second inning, took the lead in the third and extended their advantage to 12 runs in the fifth.
Mary Baldwin struggled offensively, recording nine hits while striking out 12 times. Bridgewater's Lucas Cash pitched six innings, striking out 10 of the 26 batters he faced.
