Mary Baldwin softball came up short in both games of a Sunday doubleheader at Bridgewater College, falling 13–0 in the opener and 6–0 in Game 2.
Game 1
Bridgewater jumped out early, plating five runs in the first inning and never looked back on the way to a 13–0 win in five innings. The Eagles collected 16 hits on the day, led by Mackenzie Cauthorn who went 3-for-3 with three RBI and earned the win in the circle.
Mary Baldwin managed one hit—a single from sophomore
Santrice Rush in the third inning. Bridgewater added to its lead with five runs in the third and three in the fourth to close out the scoring.
Game 2
In the second game, Bridgewater's offense continued to click, scoring in four straight innings to secure a 6–0 victory. Caroline Malandra led the Eagles with a home run, three RBI, and two stolen bases.
