Mary Baldwin ran into a tough offensive barrage Sunday afternoon, falling 28-6 to Methodist in the third and final game of a three-game weekend series in Fayetteville.
 
Methodist wasted no time setting the tone, putting up four runs in the first and four more in the second to build an early cushion. After Mary Baldwin answered in the third with its best inning of the day, highlighted by freshman Patrick Sido's RBI double and a three-run homer off the bat of freshman Noel Cano-Rocha to cut the deficit to 8-4.
 
The Monarchs responded with six runs in the third and broke the game open with an 11-run fourth inning, capitalizing on walks and timely hits to stretch the lead out of reach.
 
Cano-Rocha led the way offensively for Mary Baldwin, driving in three runs on his home run, while Sido added a pair of hits and an RBI. Sophomore Brayden Enoch also chipped in with a two-hit performance and an RBI.
