Mary Baldwin dropped a high-scoring matchup Tuesday afternoon, falling 25-14 to Eastern Mennonite despite a big offensive showing at home.

Eastern Mennonite wasted no time getting on the board, plating three runs in the second inning before adding three more in the third to take a 6-0 lead.

Patrick Sido launched a three-run home run to cut the deficit in half.
The Royals continued to swing the momentum back in their favor, scoring three runs in the fourth, but the Fighting Squirrels responded with one of their strongest innings of the day. Sido struck again with a grand slam in the fourth, capping a five-run inning and pulling Mary Baldwin within one at 9-8.
Eastern Mennonite quickly regained control in the fifth, scoring four runs, before breaking the game open in the sixth with a nine-run inning to extend the lead to 22-8.
Mary Baldwin continued to battle offensively, scoring two runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh. Sido highlighted the effort with his third home run of the game, finishing with 10 RBIs.
This is Sido's first multi-homerun game this season.
Eastern Mennonite added three more runs late to secure the 25-14 final.
