Mary Baldwin baseball fell to Roanoke College 13-1 in seven innings Wednesday afternoon.
Roanoke broke the game open in the first inning when Jorden Olivera's steal of home put the Maroons on the board. Conner Spears followed with an RBI sacrifice fly and Danny Ferguson's two-run double capped the four-run frame.
The Maroons added three runs in the second and two more in the third to go up 9-0. Roanoke's big sixth inning included a three-run triple by Tyler Galloway.

For Roanoke, Michael Hetzel drove in multiple runs, finishing with three RBIs.
On the mound, Roanoke starter Nicholas Mavroudis earned the win with five innings pitched, one run allowed and one walk. Reliever James Rolf worked the final two innings without yielding a run.
The Fighting Squirrels return home Saturday, March 7, to host Hood College in a doubleheader, with the first game scheduled for noon.
