Greensboro broke things open early and never let up, defeating Mary Baldwin 16-6 on Saturday.

The Pride jumped on the board in the first inning on a solo home run from Evan Sykes, but Mary Baldwin answered in the bottom half when freshman
Patrick Sido drove in a run on a fielder's choice to tie the game at 1-1.
Greensboro took control from there, plating two runs in the second and adding two more in the third on a two-run homer from Alex Vazquez to build a 5-1 lead. Vazquez struck again in the fifth with a three-run shot as part of a five-run inning that stretched the advantage to 12-3.
Mary Baldwin showed some life in the middle innings. Senior,
Will Earnesty recorded an RBI single in the third, and freshman
Braden Williamson added an RBI double in the fourth. The Fighting Squirrels also got back-to-back solo home runs from Sido and sophomore
Camden Bauswell in the fifth.
Greensboro continued to pile on late, scoring four runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by a three-run triple.
