In the bottom half, sophomore

Mary Baldwin continued to fight but could not overcome the deficit. Testerman would record with his third home run of the game in the eighth inning, extending the lead to 13-6 and helping seal the 17-6 win.
Game 2
Game two turned into a back-and-forth slugfest early before Greensboro took control late, pulling away for a 20-12 victory.
Mary Baldwin wasted no time jumping ahead, scoring five runs in the first inning on a combination of hits, walks and aggressive baserunning to take a 5-2 lead.
Greensboro responded in the third inning, capitalizing on MBU defensive errors before Dawson Shelton launched a three-run home run to left-center, flipping the score to 6-5.
The Fighting Squirrels struggled defensively recording six errors compared to just three from Greensboro.
Down 8-5 senior

Greensboro began to separate in the sixth inning as Brayden Sands delivered a two-run triple to give the Pride a 10-8 edge. That momentum carried into the seventh inning, when Greensboro erupted for seven runs on five hits as Shelton delivered a three-run homer.
Despite trailing, Mary Baldwin continued to battle offensively. The Fighting Squirrels plated three runs in the eighth inning, highlighted by a two-run single from Barber, and added another run in the ninth on an RBI single from senior
Dalton Hall.
Greensboro, however, continued to add insurance, scoring in the eighth and ninth innings. Testerman's two-run double in the ninth capped the scoring and helped secure the 20-12 win.
