Mary Baldwin softball was swept in a doubleheader by Meredith on Saturday, falling 7-1 in Game 1 and 8-0 in five innings in Game 2 on Senior Day.
Game 1
Meredith took control early, scoring six runs in the first inning. Kaydon Roberson highlighted the inning with a double to left-center that drove in two runs.
Lillie Davis pitched a complete game for the Angels, allowing two hits and one run.
The Fighting Squirrels scored their only run in the sixth inning when sophomore
Hannah Bolt delivered an RBI single.
Game 2
Davis returned to the mound for Game 2, allowing just one hit.
Meredith scored three runs in the first inning and added five more in the fifth to end the game. Davis also contributed at the plate, hitting a two-run home run in the fifth inning to extend the lead to seven.
