Mary Baldwin baseball won its weekend three-game series against N.C. Wesleyan, taking Game 3, 13-12, and clinching the victory in the ninth inning.

The Fighting Squirrels started fast, scoring seven runs in the first inning. After being hit by a pitch, freshman
Patrick Sido sparked the rally, driving in sophomore
Conner Michael.
In his second plate appearance, Michael singled up the middle to drive in three runs, extending the lead to 7-0.
The Battling Bishops responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning, highlighted by a solo home run from Malachi Hayes.
N.C. Wesleyan added three more runs in the second inning to cut the Mary Baldwin lead to one.
Leading 8-7 in the fourth inning, sophomore
Camden Bauswell doubled to left-center field for an RBI, giving the Fighting Squirrels some breathing room.
The momentum didn't last long, as the Battling Bishops tied the game, 9-9, in the bottom of the inning. N.C. Wesleyan then took the lead in the fifth and extended it to 12-9 with a two-run home run in the seventh.
Mary Baldwin stayed resilient. In the eighth inning, Sido reached on a fielder's choice, bringing senior
Will Earnesty home from third.
In the ninth, Earnesty hit an RBI single to make it 12-11. Junior
Trevor Hebner followed with a sacrifice fly to tie the game.
In his second plate appearance, Bauswell doubled to left-center field, driving in the game-winning run.
Bauswell then took the mound in the bottom of the ninth, striking out the side to secure the win.
