Mary Baldwin women's soccer traveled to Christendom College on Tuesday, defeating the Crusaders 6-1.

Coming off a hat trick in her previous game, sophomore
Molly Ludwig one-upped herself, scoring a Mary Baldwin-record five goals. Ludwig scored her first three goals in the first half, finding the back of the net in the 19th, 25th and 34th minutes to give the Fighting Squirrels a 4-0 lead.
Following a penalty kick goal by the Crusaders in the 53rd minute, Ludwig returned to the scoresheet in the 84th minute with her fourth goal of the game, joining rare air in the MBU record books. Ludwig became just the fourth woman in MBU history to record 20 career goals.
Ludwig scored her fifth and final goal in the 89th minute, tying Mayzie Lewis for the most goals scored by a Fighting Squirrel in a single game.
With their third consecutive win, MBU will look to maintain its momentum as the Fighting Squirrels open conference play at home against Brevard College on Saturday, Sept. 19, at noon.
