Mary Baldwin men's soccer traveled to Guilford College on Tuesday, falling 1-0 in a tight matchup.
The Fighting Squirrels and Quakers battled defensively in the first half, finishing scoreless. Guilford's offense was aggressive, however, recording 10 shots in the opening period.

Preston Bentley stood strong in goal, making five saves in the first half.
Guilford broke the scoreless tie in the 78th minute when Rafa Albesa Boix found the top-right corner of the net for the game-winning goal.
The Fighting Squirrels struggled to generate offense, finishing with no shots in the match. The Quakers created several opportunities against Mary Baldwin's defense, attempting 20 shots.
Mary Baldwin will return home to face Brevard College at noon Saturday, Sept. 26.
