Mary Baldwin men's soccer fell 2-0 to Brevard College on Saturday afternoon.
The first half was a defensive battle, with the two teams heading into halftime tied 0-0. Both goalkeepers stood firm, as Brevard's Soren Deweer made four saves and senior Preston Bentley stopped three shots for Mary Baldwin.
Brevard came out aggressively in the second half, attempting 14 shots.
In the 55th minute, Eran Nasseraldeen scored his first goal of the season to put the Tornados ahead. Brevard added a second goal in the 74th minute to seal the victory.
Brevard attempted 21 shots in the game, putting pressure on the Fighting Squirrels' back line.
Mary Baldwin fell to 0-1 in conference play. The Fighting Squirrels will return home Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 4 p.m. to take on Wilson College.
