ROCKY MOUNT, NC - The Mary Baldwin University volleyball team traveled to N.C. Wesleyan College this afternoon for a USA South Quad Match.  The Fighting Squirrels feel to Covenant College in the first match 0-3 (23-25, 8-25, 16-25) then defeated Wesleyan (Ga.) 3-0.

Against Covenant, Mary Baldwin was led by Kately Rice with 9 kills while Xenna Belfield led the defense with 11 digs.  Rice followed with 8 digs.

In the final match, the Fighting Squirrels won 3-0 (25-10, 25-7, 25-9). 

Jessica Hickman and Katelyn Rice tallied 9 kills each.

After the match, Coach Yee said, "It was nice to get our first conference win, and see us focused on execution for our team this weekend."

Mary Baldwin University, 4-14 (1-7 USAS) travel to Greensboro on Wednesday for their next USA South match up.
