Box Score The Mary Baldwin Baseball team traveled to Hampden-Sydney Tuesday afternoon for a single game. The Fighting Squirrels would score their only two runs of the game during the first inning. M. Robertson began with a single to right field, before advancing to third on a single hit to right field by J. King. D. Rankin singled down the left field line to score Michael Robertson. The final run of the inning would come after Lucas Chinault grounded out to second, scoring Jacob King.
The Tigers would get on the board in the bottom of the second inning on an RBI by to score one runner. In the bottom of the third, two Tiger players would score off of two separate wild pitches and then add one more to make it 4-2.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Hampden-Sydney would add one run off an RBI to center field. Two more runs would come across on a fielding error by third. The Tigers would score two more off of two singles to the outfield. On a throwing error by third, another baserunner would score. The final run of the inning would come off of a single to left field making the score 13-2.
The Fighting Squirrels would remain quiet at the plate for the rest of the game. D. Rankin would reach first on a fielder's choice at the top of the seventh before the next two batters were retired.
The Tigers added two more runs in the bottom of the 6th to make the final score 15-2.
